Here at the coffee pod we also offer our very own version of the well-known Southern European Café classic, Cortado.

Cortado, which means 'cut' in Spanish, is a coffee variety that is particularly popular in Portugal and Spain where it is usually served in a glass. A Cortado is an Espresso that has been blended (cut) up with an almost equal amount of hot milk, making it light in taste, yet without compromising the underlying and unmistakable coffee flavour.

Unlike a Latte or a Cappucino, for example, a distinctive feature of a Cortado is the absence of milk foam. A Cortado can therefore be very similar in style to the French Café Au Lait, but differs in being Espresso based which gives it a stronger flavour.

Here we have created a classic Cortado as you know it from the cafes of the South, without you having to leave home. It brews easily in your Dolce Gusto machine with just one capsule, and with its mild taste can be enjoyed throughout the day.
